Nintendo Indie World Showcase Will Last 15 Minutes
Even for an Indie World Showcase, this is still a relatively short stream, coming in at about 3 minutes, under what the March 2026 Indie World Showcase delivered.
The March presentation revealed games such as Minishoot’s Adventures, Denshattack!, and Blue Prince coming to Nintendo Switch. Some titles were even released on the original Switch.
It’s unclear which games will be announced at tomorrow’s showcase, but the Indie scene keeps pumping out exciting titles, and advances in Nintendo Switch hardware on Switch 2 make even more releases possible. All-time classics like RimWorld and Factorio have never been released on Switch. Even the 2025 game of the year, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, long anticipated for Nintendo hardware, has yet to be announced.
Ocarina of Time Expected to Carry Nintendo’s Holiday Season
Of course, many Nintendo players still long for more substantial announcements from the legendary company. It’s been nearly 10 years since we last saw a 3D Mario game, and so far, Nintendo hasn’t even officially revealed a teaser for the next major Mario adventure. An earlier report suggested the title is likely coming in 2027, but without an official announcement, plans can always change.
Nintendo is planning a major release in November, with the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time dropping next week on November 5. Much has been made about the Zelda remake challenging GTA 6, which is expected to dominate the month of November, but of course, Nintendo typically marches to the beat of its own drum and isn’t getting GTA on any Nintendo hardware and, as such, feels more free to drop a game such as Ocarina of Time.
This Indie World Showcase may also include a few shadow drops, giving players even more to discover on their Switch or Switch 2. Insider Gaming will have full coverage of what is announced on October 28.
What games do you hope will be announced at the Indie World Showcase? Sound off about this story and all others in our official Discord server.
