Psychological Horror Fishing Game ‘HOOKEYE’ Announced for 2026

Indie developers Mallorian and FloralNoise have announced their short-form psychological horror fishing game HOOKEYE for PC via Steam later in 2026.

Set on a fog-covered dock off the California coast, HOOKEYE follows a lone fisherman consumed by his obsession with fishing. Armed with limited gear, a couple of beers, and dwindling supplies, he continues casting into the ocean as the call of a legendary siren draws him further into danger.

Players bait a hook, cast into the sea, and reel in their catch. Fish can subsequently become bait for larger catches, requiring players to decide how to use what they have as they work toward catching the siren.

Resources are limited. Hooks and conventional bait can run out, forcing the fisherman to improvise if he wants to continue. The fisherman’s senses begin deceiving him as his mental state deteriorates, while talking fish provide pieces of his past.
