Indie classic MMORPG Ryzom dropped a weird little tweet back in August that first gave me some “graphic design is my passion” vibes that next morphed into a “heck yeah give ’em hell, Ryzom” surge in me. If I may:
See what I mean? Is it a little cringe? It is. But the message is pure. We see a lot of MMORPGs trying to convince us that their monetization is acceptable, but very few of them just come out and call the business model “treacherous” or slap a “NOT Pay to Win” badge on their marketing, complete with poison symbol.
