Join Now!Publishers Tripwire Interactive have announced that they will be expanding their publishing division, with a new initiative entitled Tripwire Presents, designed to help indie game developers bring their titles to a wider audience. Five games have been selected to lead the project, which aims to offer flexible partnerships enabling developers to get their games seen, as well as support with marketing, public relations, content creation and commercial strategy.
With over 20 years experience in the industry, the Tripwire Presents initiative will also provide developers with guidance on pricing and discounts, as well as sales strategies and managing a game’s lifecycle. Tripwire are aiming to introduce a more flexible partnership than normal publishers would offer, allowing developers to benefit from additional resources whilst maintaining a central role in their game’s success. Per Bryan West, Publishing Director at Tripwire Presents, “Tripwire Presents is starting this new program to give additional visibility to great self-published indie games that we feel Tripwire fans will absolutely love.”
Here are the five titles that have been initially selected for Tripwire Presents:
The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire
“Set in the fictional Night City in the early 2000’s, The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire is a hybrid action-simulation and management game stacked with open-world criminal activities. Players take on the role of an aspiring gangster with kingpin dreams, where they must build a criminal empire from nothing and rule the city, or fall to a rival and lose everything.”
Starforged Legacy
“Developed by Second Shift Games, Starforged Legacy is a single-player, sci-fi action roguelike bullet hell experience where players must forge a single starcraft into a fleet-leveling warship through the combination of salvaged weaponry and strategy-defining augmentations. Navigate across a 2D combat plane, weave through asteroid fields, aid galactic denizens and use resources collected from each failed expedition to become permanently stronger. The ultimate goal is survival; the legacy left behind is inevitable.“
Mars Attracts
“From developer Outlier Games, Mars Attracts is a park management sim set in the iconic Mars Attacks universe. Players take on the role of the devious Martians as they construct detailed enclosures, manage staff and most importantly – abduct and experiment on humans for the entertainment of their Martian guests.“
One-Eyed Likho
“One-Eyed Likho is a first-person dark folk horror adventure game developed by Morteshka (creators of Black Book) based on dark Slavic folklore recorded in the 19th century. Players must outwit the malevolent Likho by navigating shadowy landscapes and solving intricate fire-based puzzles. The game blends conventional horror with authentic folklore and a dark, monochromatic hand-crafted art style to create a uniquely eerie and immersive experience“
Eslabong
“Eslabong is a tactical strategy and mercenary club management game developed by shirowita. In either single player or co-op, players recruit fantastical mercenaries with unique abilities, build their squad and compete through rolling seasons in leagues and cups. Every run forces new decisions as randomized stats, evolving rosters and dynamic opponents keep each season different, while the market offers new ways to adapt and improve.”
Tripwire Presents intends to support a curated selection of indie titles across multiple genres and platforms, with assistance available at various stages of development and release, including Early Access and post-launch. Stay tuned to DayOne for more information on the project and further titles.
