Tripwire Presents, the publishing division of Tripwire Interactive, announced a new initiative to expand support for smaller indie developers and games. Hopefully with some healthy contracts that allow developers just to keep doing what they do, and get paid nicely from it.
From the press release sent to GamingOnLinux: “Tripwire Presents is starting this new program to give additional visibility to great self-published indie games that we feel Tripwire fans will absolutely love,” said Bryan West, Publishing Director at Tripwire Presents.”These titles are from scrappy developers who have done the hard work of both creating and promoting a game themselves. We want to shine a spotlight on these gems to help each of them reach a broader audience.”
So what do developers actually get out of it? The new initiative brings "dev-friendly partnerships" they said are built for simply helping more games reach players while "the developers who created them benefit the most". Tripwire said they will offer "advanced support from their knowledge and resources including access to the company’s extensive and engaged player community, platform and storefront relationships, promotional calendars and strategic guidance on pricing, discounts, sales timing and lifecycle management". They're planning to pick games from pre-release all the way up to existing games for post-launch support too.

The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire
Starforged Legacy
Mars Attracts
One-Eyed Likho
Eslabong
Seems like a nice idea, we've seen a lot more publishers appear over the last few years, as more and more games struggle to find an audience.
