Always nice to see! The positively rated indie game made with Godot, Worlds Upon The Wind, has seen the full source code being released.

What is it? Released originally in July 2026 - Worlds Upon the Wind is a peaceful roguelite deckbuilder about rebuilding a shattered civilization after the apocalypse. Shape forests, deserts, and ruins through careful planning and resourcefulness, rather than conflict. Guide settlers across drifting world shards, nurturing new communities and weaving new traditions as you restore life to forgotten lands. Embark on a journey of restoration and community in this tactical game for those who prefer to take their time and weigh their choices.

In an announcement on Steam the developer said:

"Worlds Upon The Wind is built using the open source Godot engine and makes heavy use of historical public domain art. Now it's time to give back to the community.

The game's source code and all of its assets are now released into the public domain (CC0) as an open source project. Other indie developers can freely study and reuse any of the code or art in their projects. The only exception is the audio, which I cannot release due to third-party licensing restrictions.

The game will continue to be updated and distributed on Steam, and all updates will be mirrored to the public GitHub repository."

Technically, not actually open source, since it's not using an OSI approved license - but CC0 1.0 Universal is very permissive.
